About

“Your belief in what you’re doing is your force field, your get-out-of-jail-free card, and your best friend all rolled into one.”  – Bassam Tarazi

I found my art (and passion!) very early in my life, and for that… I feel extremely grateful!

If I win the lottery tomorrow, and have enough income to never work another day of my life–I will continue to invest the same amount of time and emotional labor every single day.

I love my work because it is more than simply making a living–it is filled with creativity, self-expression, intuition and most importantly, a strong sense of purpose.

This blog, teaching, and my work with athletes is my art.  It is my gift (art) to the world.

“Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary.”  –  Sir Cecil Beaton

In 1989, I was a senior in high school when I injured an intervertebral disc in my lower back.  As you can imagine, I had intense pain and limited range of motion for many months.  I went from being extremely active in sports, to not being able to do anything without pain.

Even though I never took the traditional path with an Orthopedic Surgeon, Physical Therapist etc., I knew in my heart that surgery was not an option for me.

I was very fortunate to have some positive experiences with Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, and Strength Training.  The lower back injury, and the positive experiences with the alternative therapies led to an epiphany on New Years Eve in 1991…

I have been searching for the truth ever since.
